Anuga FoodTec 2012: Meypack presents a new tray/lid case packer at stand B60 / C61 in hall 6 from March 27th to 30th in Cologne.
February 2012

Nottuln-Appelhülsen, February 17th, 2012 – At the Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, running from March 27th to 30th, 2012, Meypack is exhibiting its VP 453 case packer – built of stainless steel according to the CleanDesign Construction Principle – to pack plastic containers of butter into trays with lids. The Anuga FoodTec is the food industry’s most important get-together.

With this packaging machine, Meypack presents an array of ground-breaking concepts – concepts that provide interesting stimuli and perspectives for other customers and branches. The Meypack VP 453 on exhibit was built entirely of stainless steel according to the CleanDesign Construction Principle. Optimal accessibility, easy and thorough cleaning as well as the machine’s high level of flexibility were convincing arguments for the customer, given that the stacking stations will be located in wet areas of production while the packaging machines will be in dry production areas.

The machine packs rectangular plastic containers of 250g, 500g and 1,000g in trays with lids. The unusual lid is inserted into the short side of the tray while the longer sides of the lid are glued to the outside of the tray. The plastic containers have a slightly conical shape and are sealed with a plastic lid on top. One challenge of the project was to transport the containers without pressure and to pack them in a gentle way because on the one hand, the lids can easily come off if there is even just a very little bit of pressure exerted and on the other hand, the product is still in a fluid state at the time of packaging and can easily swash onto the inside of the lid.

The machine on display features a number of highlights that are of particular importance for the food industry. In addition to the optimal accessibility, the CleanDesign execution and the gentle product handling technology, the machine is extremely flexible and can also be used to create wrap-around cases with external top flaps. The format changes are also fast and easy to manage.

Focus on customer relationships: Meypack presents integrated concepts at the Brau Beviale 2011 in Nuremberg at stand 5-111/214 in hall 5

interpack 2011: Meypack presents new, combined wrap-around case packer and shrink wrapper (copy 1)
May 2011

The visitors to Meypack’s trade fair stand A30 in hall 14 at this year’s interpack 2011 – from May 12th to 18th, 2011 – can expect to experience a highly flexible system to pack products in wrap-around cases and in trays with or without film as well as just in film as pure multipacks.

Nottuln-Appelhülsen, March 23th, 2011 – In addition to addressing the issues of sustainability and the assumption of ecological responsibility, the interpack will also focus on economic topics, efficient processes and cost optimisation in packaging. In this context, Meypack has developed an innovative end-packaging machine able to process even more types of primary packaging and formats on one single machine, leading to a faster return on investment.

The continuous motion VP 501 SW 60 TM wrap-around case packer and shrink wrapper was designed for Ennstal Milch KG in Stainach, Austria. The machine packs round “CartoCans” made of coated cardboard. With the new machine, on display at Meypack’s stand A30 in hall 14 at this year’s interpack from May 12th to 18th, 2011, the company can end-package its products both in wrap-around cases as well as in trays with or without film. In addition, the machine can process pure multipacks, meaning that individual products pass through the packaging machine in either one lane or two and are then wrapped in film on the downstream shrink wrapper. When packing the cans as multipacks, the machine’s lower pressing chain splits apart. A motorised flat top chain conveyor moves upward automatically to the transport level. To enable easier opening of the film packs, the machine is equipped with an “Easy Open” perforation unit.
